Hometown Feed Mill brightens Senior Center with flower donations

TOMAHAWK – The Tomahawk Senior Center last week thanked Dave and Joy Van De Weerd, owners of Hometown Feed Mill, for their donation of plants for the Senior Center's outdoor planters this season.

“Located at 216 S. Tomahawk Ave., Hometown Feed Mill has long been committed to serving the needs of the Tomahawk community,” said Gloria Quinn. “Dave Van De Weerd has said his goal has always been to provide a one-stop shop for area residents, especially in a region where larger communities and shopping options may be 20 to 40 minutes away. Along with animal feed, pet food and supplies, the store also offers garden seeds, plants, hanging baskets and many other products for local customers.”

Quinn said the flowers donated by the Van De Weerds will help brighten the Senior Center grounds and create a welcoming environment for the many seniors, volunteers and visitors who use the facility throughout the year.

“Community-minded businesses like Hometown Feed Mill play an important role in helping local organizations thrive,” Quinn stated. “We are grateful for Dave and Joy's generosity and continued support of the Tomahawk community. Thank you, Dave and Joy, for helping our Senior Center bloom this season.”
