KCHC gearing up for St. Patrick’s, St. Urho’s Day celebration

Posted

BRANTWOOD – An area organization dedicated to preserving the heritage of the pioneers that settled the Northwoods is preparing to host one of its annual fundraisers this month.

The Knox Creek Heritage Center (KCHC) will hold its Saint Patrick’s Day and Saint Urho’s Day Celebration at the Brantwood Community Center, located at the intersection of U.S. Hwy. 8 and North County Rd. D in Brantwood, on Saturday, March 21.

The public is encouraged to attend.

The event will kick off at noon. The organization’s annual meeting will be held, which will include the election of officers, a financial review and discussion of completed and ongoing projects.

The meeting will be followed by a soup buffet.

A limited supply of “I’m From Brantwood Hey!” T-shirts will be available for purchase. Pre-orders can also be made at the event and picked up in May.

The group also hopes to compile a list of volunteers to help with ongoing and upcoming projects.

“We look forward to seeing you all and spending some time with good company,” said KCHC President Kevin Wollemann.

The Saint Patrick’s Day and Saint Urho’s Day event is one of several annual fundraisers held by KCHC. The organization also has events planned for May, July and September.
