For the Tomahawk Leader

TOMAHAWK – The Tomahawk Area Veterans Honor Guard recently conducted a flag raising ceremony to commemorate the life and service of Air Force and Korean War veteran Ronald E. Beaumont.

The ceremony was held at the memorial garden and flag pole setting of Ronald's sons, Larry and Jim Beaumont of Tomahawk, on Saturday, Sept. 29.

The service and flag presentation were led by Rifle Squad Captain Terry Baldowsky, and the tribute was highlighted by a rifle volley and a bugle rendition of "To the Colors" as the flag was raised by the Beaumonts.

A reception followed the event.

Larry and Jim Beaumont are members of American Legion Post 93 in Tomahawk.
