Lincoln County Sheriff’s Report: April 20, 2026

As reported by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Monday, April 20:

On 04/13/26 deputies were dispatched to an address on Maple Rd. in the Town of Pine River for a domestic disturbance in progress. The female victim reported that her husband was not allowing her to enter the house and at one point did physically strike her. She also reported that he was taking her property from the house and putting it in the driveway. When deputies arrived on scene, they made contact with the male and advised him that he was under arrest. The male subject retreated into the house and refused to comply. To avoid an escalation, the deputies and victim relocated to a different location to complete the investigation. The male suspect was to have charges battery, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct and resisting/obstructing an officer filed with the Lincoln County District Attorney,

On 04/15/2026 a deputy on patrol located a male subject walking along STH 64 in the Town of Corning. In speaking with the male subject, he alluded to the fact that he had just had an argument with his boyfriend. At the same time, the deputy located a second male walking alone STH 64 in the same area. It was determined to be the other half of the disturbance. After speaking with both parties, it was determined that they live together and had a physical altercation. There were injuries present that were consistent of a physical assault. As a result, both subjects were placed under arrest with various charges consisting of battery, disorderly conduct and bail jumping, along with strangulation and suffocation.

On 04/15/2026 deputies were sent to an address on Burgener Rd. in the Town of Schley for a disturbance in progress. The victim was reporting that his grandson had attacked him with a stick and knocked him to the ground. The victim was injured, but did not require an ambulance. When deputies arrived on scene, they spoke with the victim and were able to see injuries consistent with being struck by a stick. The suspect had left the scene prior to their arrival and remained at large as of this writing. A charge of intent bodily harm to elder person was to be sent to the Lincoln County District Attorney’s Office.

Deputies conducted 52 traffic stops and 44 security checks.

Deputies responded to two car vs. deer crashes, one car vs. turkey and one car vs. bald eagle.
