As reported by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Monday, April 6:
On 04/3/26 LISO was notified by MNSO of a chase in progress traveling N/B on USH 51 approaching Lincoln County. MNSO deputies were requesting the assistance of LISO for the placement of tire deflation devices in an attempt to disable the suspect car and stop the chase. LISO deputies were able to get into position and successfully disable the suspect’s vehicle. A short distance later, the suspect, an Antigo man, stopped his vehicle and began walking away from the scene. A police K9 was deployed and the man was taken into custody. Officers from the Merrill PD assisted at the scene. The man was treated at the scene by Merrill FD ambulance for a dog bite, and then transported to Aspirus Merrill Hospital.
Deputies conducted 22 traffic stops and 40 security checks.
Deputies responded to nine car vs. deer crashes.
