Lincoln County Sheriff’s Report: July 13, 2026

As reported by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Monday, July 13:

On 07/07/2026 deputies were sent to the area of USH 8 and CTH L in the Town of Bradley for a two-car crash with injuries. Upon arrival, the deputies located one car in the middle of USH 8 and another on the side of the road. Contact was made with both drivers, who reported minor injuries. One of the drivers was transported by ambulance to Aspirus Tomahawk Hospital. The crash remains under investigation.

On 07/07/2026 deputies were sent to the area of USH 51 and the 220 mile marker Town of Rock Falls for a motorcycle crash with injuries. Upon arrival, it was learned that the driver was N/B on USH 51 at a high rate of speed when the he lost control of the bike on a curve and entered the median. The bike then rolled several times throwing the driver from the bike. The driver was said to have been wearing a helmet, but did receive unknown injuries in the process.

On 07/09/2026 the Sheriff’s Office received a call of a reckless driver traveling on STH 17 in the area of CTH J in the Town of Russell. A deputy was able to get into the area and locate the suspect vehicle. The deputy observed the vehicle’s driving behavior, and it coincided with what the R/P had told dispatch. The deputy conducted a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle. When making contact with the driver, a Merrill man, the deputy noticed signs of impairment. The deputy asked the man to perform some sobriety tests, which he agreed to do. As a result of those tests, the man was placed under arrest for 3rd offense OWI and a probation violation. He was later transported to the Lincoln County Jail, where he was booked.  

On 07/10/2026 deputies were sent to an address on Anglers Ave. in the Town of King for a disturbance in progress. The R/P was advising that their son, 22, was intoxicated and being combative. When the first deputy arrived on scene,he located and detained the suspect, a Tomahawk man, and placed him in the back of his squad. In speaking with the witness to the incident, the deputy placed the man under arrest for domestic disorderly conduct. The man was then transported to the Lincoln County Jail, where he was booked in.

Deputies conducted 39 traffic stops and 13 security checks.

Deputies responded to three car vs. deer crashes.
