As reported by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Monday, July 20:

On 07/13/2026 deputies were sent to the area of USH 51 and Nibler Rd. in the Town of King for a one-car crash with injuries. Upon arrival, the deputies spoke with the driver, an Eagle River man, 23, who said he was N/B on USH 51 when he fell asleep at the wheel, resulting in him crashing. The driver stated he wasn’t sure if he struck anything or not. He sustained a head injury in the crash.

On 07/13/2026 deputies were sent to the area of STH 17 and Prairie Dr. in the Town of Russell for a two-car crash with injuries. Upon arrival, it was learned that the driver of unit one was making a U-turn on STH 17 at Prairie Dr. This turn was done in the path of unit two that had been traveling S/B on STH 17. The driver of unit two was unable to stop in time, and as a result, struck unit one in a T-bone-type collision. Both drivers sustained unknown injuries as a result of the crash.

On 07/19/2026 a deputy on a specialized patrol for traffic safety observed a vehicle traveling E/B on STH 64 and 107 near Joe Snow Rd. in the Town of Corning, driving at what appeared to be a high rate of speed. Radar indicated the vehicle was traveling at 105 MPH and was locked at 102 MPH in a 55 MPH zone. When stopped, the driver, a Tomahawk man, was argumentative with the deputy and unable to provide proof of identification. The man was later identified by his sister-in-law and owner of the vehicle. He was cited for speed 45-plus MPH over the speed limit and not having his identification with him while driving. He was released once he was identified.

Deputies conducted 32 traffic stops and 28 security checks.

Deputies responded to four car vs. deer crashes.
