Lincoln County Sheriff’s Report: Nov. 10, 2025

As reported by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Monday, Nov. 10:

On 11/4/2025 deputies were sent to an address on Joe Snow Rd. in the Town of Scott for a disturbance that had taken place. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the victim, who stated that during an argument, he had been punched by the suspect, a Merrill teen, 17. It was also reported that the suspect had left the house prior to the deputies arriving on scene. A short time later, deputies located the teen and took him into custody for substantial battery, resisting/obstructing arrest and disorderly conduct. He was then transported to the Lincoln County Jail.

On 11/08/2025 deputies were dispatched to the area of STH 17 and Cinder Rd. in the Town of Harrison for a car crash with injuries. Upon arrival, it appeared as though the vehicle had been northbound on STH 17 when it left the roadway and struck a tree. The driver, a Rhinelander man, 22, was in the ambulance being treated for his injuries. The deputy made contact with the driver and observed signs of impairment. The driver was asked to perform sobriety tests and refused them. Based on the deputy’s investigation, the driver was placed under arrest for a first offense of OWI and possession of marijuana. The suspect was then left in the care of the hospital.

On 11/09/2025 deputies were dispatched to the area of USH 51 and the 219 mile marker for a reported car crash with injuries. Upon arrival, the deputies located two separate crashes. The originally reported crash was found to be without injuries, but the second crash included injuries. It was believed that both crashes were winter weather-related. The driver and passenger of the second crash were transported by ambulance to Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Deputies conducted 33 traffic stops and 26 security checks.

Deputies responded to 21 car vs. deer crashes.
