LWVNOW encouraging area candidates to participate in online voter guide

Posted

NORTHERN WISCONSIN – The League of Women Voters of the Northwoods (LWVNOW) is inviting area candidates running for office in the Tuesday, April 7 Spring Election to participate in an online voter guide.

A release from LWVNOW said county board candidates in Lincoln, Oneida and Vilas counties, as well as individuals running for school boards in Tomahawk, Merrill, Rhinelander, Minocqua and Eagle River, are encouraged to complete a questionnaire offered through the organization’s nonpartisan voter guide at www.VOTE411.org.

“VOTE411 is a trusted resource, a candidates guide, that provides voters with direct access to candidates’ responses on issues important to the community,” LWVNOW stated. “Participation is free and offers candidates an opportunity to communicate their priorities to voters in their own words.”

“Tens of thousands of Wisconsin voters rely on VOTE411 as their source for unbiased candidate information,” said a League representative. “We strongly encourage every candidate to take advantage of this opportunity to reach voters in a fair, accessible and nonpartisan format.”

The voter guide is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Wisconsin and will be live on Sunday, March 15.

LWVNOW said candidates who complete the questionnaire “ensure voters have the information they need to make informed decisions” on Election Day.
