Oneida County ADRC Committee seeking citizen member

ONEIDA COUNTY – The Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Oneida County Committee is accepting applications from interested county residents for one citizen member vacancy.

The ADRC Committee is appointed by the Oneida County Board of Supervisors and is the policy-making body for the ADRC of Oneida County.

The ADRC Committee represents Oneida County residents regarding programs and county policy for the ADRC related to services for older adults and adults with disabilities. The nine-member committee (four elected county supervisors and five citizens) meets monthly to approve financial and program reports, makes policy decisions, and plans for future needs.

The vacant seat is for a citizen member specifically interested in representing older adult Oneida County citizens.

Membership on the ADRC Committee requires attending a meeting in Rhinelander at an accessible location, currently scheduled for 9 a.m. on the fourth Wednesday of each month. Members receive a meeting stipend and mileage reimbursement to travel to the meetings.

Applications are due back to the ADRC of Oneida County by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 26. The ADRC Committee will review all applications, and a candidate will be selected to recommend to the County Board Chair for official appointment.
