Sheriff’s Office offering free firearm safety resources

LINCOLN COUNTY – Last week, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office announced that it received firearm safety resources from the Lincoln County Health Department.

The resources are available to the public for free.

Gun locks, as well as firearm safety and suicide prevention information, can be picked up in the lobby at the Sheriff’s Office, 1104 E. 1^st St., Merrill, during normal business hours.

“Safe firearm storage is a simple step that can help prevent accidents, unauthorized access and firearms from being accessed during a time of crisis,” the Sheriff’s Office said.
