LINCOLN COUNTY – Earlier this month, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office welcomed its newest deputy.
Deputy Matthew Budzynski joined the Sheriff’s Office after graduating from the Nicolet College Law Enforcement Academy on Friday, June 13.
During the graduation ceremony, Budzynski received the Top Gun Award, which recognizes performance and leadership during the firearms portion of training, as well as the Fitness Award.
Budzynski’s brother, Jevin, joined the Sheriff’s Office late last year after also receiving the academy’s Top Gun Award.
“Therefore, we plan to call them Maverick and Goose (unofficially),” the Sheriff’s Office said.
Budzynski began the Sheriff’s Office’s field training program after being hired, “where he will continue his training and hone his skills to better serve our community,” the Sheriff’s Office said.
“We are extremely proud of Matt for his hard work and dedication, and we look forward to getting him on patrol,” the Sheriff’s Office stated. “If you see him out and about, please be sure to say hello and welcome him to our community.”
