TOMAHAWK – Through an all-school fundraiser, 5th grade Student Council members at Tomahawk Elementary School (TES) collected $400.00 to sponsor Veteran Remembrance Wreaths for armed forces members laid to rest at Northwoods National Cemetery in Harshaw.
The wreaths were placed during a National Wreaths Across America Day ceremony at the cemetery on Saturday, Dec 13.
The funds raised by the students were enough to sponsor 23.5 wreaths. However, with a two-for-one wreath match going through the end of the year, the students sponsored a total of 47 wreaths.
