TOWN OF NOKOMIS – Two motorcyclists were injured when their bike was struck by a pickup truck in the Town of Nokomis on Saturday, Sept. 19.
According to a release from the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, a call was received at approximately 4:21 p.m. reporting a motorcycle accident on U.S. Hwy. 51 at County Hwy. L.
Initial investigation indicated that two motorcycles were entering U.S. Hwy. 51 from County Hwy. L when they were struck by a southbound Ford F250.
The primary involved motorcycle was being operated by Michael Yeager, 38, with passenger Jennifer Yeager, 37. Both parties, who are from Marshfield, were transported from the scene with life- threatening injuries, the release said.
The pickup truck was operated by David Larson, 66, of Fond du Lac. The second motorcycle was operated by Christopher Maples, 49, of Park Falls. Larson and Maples were uninjured.
The Wisconsin State Patrol is completing the accident report and investigation, according to the release.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Wisconsin State Patrol, Nokomis First Responders, the Nokomis Fire Department, the Cassian Fire Department, Oneida County Ambulance Medic-4 and Tomahawk EMS Ambulance E26.
