Posted

As reported by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Monday, Dec. 8:

On 12/2/2025 a deputy on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on CTH O near STH 86 in the Town of Tomahawk. The deputy had reported that the vehicle was seen deviating from the designated lane of traffic and speeding. When the deputy made contact with the driver, he refused to identify himself or provide proof of insurance. The deputy noticed signs of impairment, as well as open intoxicants in the vehicle. The deputy requested the driver to exit the vehicle; however, the driver refused to do so. The driver, who was later identified as a Rhinelander man, was then assisted out of the vehicle by the deputy and placed under arrest for a first offense of OWI and resisting/obstructing an officer. He was later transported to the Lincoln County Jail and turned over to corrections officers.

On 12/4/2025 the Sheriff’s Office was notified by the Tomahawk Police Department of a domestic disturbance that they had received information on and that their officers were presently out with the victim at an address in the City of Tomahawk. TPD advised that their officers learned that the actual domestic occurred at a residence on Fairway Dr. in the Town of Bradley and that it was a physical domestic. The victim was reporting that her boyfriend put his hands on her and kicked her out of the house. Deputies went to the address on Fairway Dr. and made contact with the suspect, a Tomahawk man, 25. After speaking with the suspect, he was taken into custody for domestic disorderly conduct and a probation hold. He was transported to the Lincoln County Jail, where he was turned over to corrections officers. No injuries were reported.

On 12/5/2025 the Sheriff’s Office received a complaint from a resident in the Town of Schley reporting that the R/P had a homeless subject show up at their residence reporting that he had put his car in the ditch on CTH X. When a deputy arrived in the area, they located the subject, an Oshkosh man, 24. The man reported that he had put his car in the ditch and that he had no money and was homeless. In checking the subject’s name, it was learned that there were two warrants for his arrest out of Winnebago County. The deputy took the man into custody for the warrants and transported him to the Lincoln County Jail, where he was turned over to corrections officers. With the assistance of Russell First Responders, they removed the man’s car from the ditch and stored it for him.

On 12/7/2025 the Sheriff’s Office received a call of a domestic disturbance where the victim was reporting that her boyfriend had beat her up. The incident was reported to have happened at a residence in the Town of Birch. The victim reported that she had left the house after the incident and the suspect, a Gleason man, 33, was believed to still be at the house with their children. Deputies attempted to make contact with the suspect, with no luck. The deputies also attempted to call the suspect, with no contact. Later the next day, deputies returned to the residence and were able to make contact with the suspect. He was taken into custody and transported to the Lincoln County Jail, where he was booked for intimidation of a victim, attempted strangulation/suffocation, false imprisonment, battery and disorderly conduct. All charges were with the domestic modifier.

Deputies conducted 32 traffic stops and 33 security checks.
