Posted

TOMAHAWK – This week, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will host a public meeting regarding an upcoming road construction project in Tomahawk.

The planned project will involve the full reconstruction of State Hwy. 86 from U.S. Hwy. 51 to W. Wisconsin Ave. Work is scheduled to take place in 2030.

The western limit of the project was previously N. Tomahawk Ave. Bryan Rose, WisDOT North Central Region Communications Manager, told the Tomahawk Leader that the scope of the work was recently changed to make W. Wisconsin Ave. the project’s westernmost end.

The meeting will be held in the cafeteria at Tomahawk High School, 1048 E. King Rd., Tomahawk, on Wednesday, June 17 at 5:30 p.m. A release from WisDOT said project staff will go over a brief presentation, with the remainder of the meeting following an open house format.
