Posted

TOMAHAWK – The Tomahawk High School (THS) Class of 2026 spent Wednesday, May 20 giving back to the community that has supported them throughout their educational journey by participating in a community service day at several locations throughout the area, working hard while making a positive impact.

As part of Senior Service Day, groups of seniors visited Milestone Senior Living, where they spent time playing games with residents and helping with yard work.

Other students volunteered at the Tomahawk Area Historical Society, organizing documents and assembling shelving, while another group assisted at the library by organizing materials and preparing resources for patrons.

At Bradley Park, students worked together to remove dead trees and rake debris to help clean and improve the park grounds.

Meanwhile, a talented group of seniors added school spirit to the Tomahawk Fieldhouse by painting a new “Home of the Hatchets” mural on the upstairs track.

“The day was a great success and reflected the character of the Class of 2026,” said Instructor Andy Peissig. “Students worked hard, had fun and proudly gave back to the community that has supported them throughout their school years.”
