RHINELANDER – Numerous Tomahawk High School (THS) students recently took part in Nicolet College’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) competition.
Instructor Brian Schiltz said that throughout the event, the students demonstrated strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities and professionalism while working alongside peers from across the region.
“Their effort, preparation and willingness to challenge themselves in a real-world setting highlight the value of hands-on learning and the dedication they bring to their craft,” Schiltz stated.
Results for THS students are as follows:
Academic Success Digital Escape Room – 1st place team: Faith Derleth, Ethan Gibeault, Beau Stromberg.
Automotive Technician: Auto Competition – 2nd place team: Nathan Fisher, Simon Koch.
Business Management, Accounting, Office Management: Hands-On Business Jeopardy – 1st place team: Team 1 Lucas Haring, Rex Reilly, Tiegan Sarazin, Brayden Lamer, Cash Olsen.
Cosmetology: Beauty Behind the Madness – individual – 1st place: Mya Kromm.
Culinary: Cupcake Challenge – 3rd place team: Kylie Fryar, Elise Gibeault, Madeline Long, Peyton Rigney.
Early Childhood Ed.: The Great Storytelling Showdown – individual – 1st place: Jordyn Lundquist.
Fire and EMS Public Safety Challenge – 1st place team: Brody Hilgendorf, Kaylee Roberts, Lillian Taves, Anita Ziert.
UTLA Physics: The Great Starburst Catapult Challenge – 1st place team: Team 2, Johnathan Feltes, Brock Fische, Toby Scott.
