TOWN OF NOKOMIS – On Thursday, Sept. 24, the Nokomis Volunteer Fire Department took delivery of its new battery-powered portable extrication tools.
The equipment was purchased from TNT Rescue Systems Inc., a Wisconsin-based company.
The department utilized monies from its Donations Fund to purchase a Storm Surge cutter, a Storm Surge spreader and a Storm Surge telescoping ram, all powered by Milwaukee M18 batteries. The department said the purchases further leverage its previous investment in Milwaukee tools and batteries.
“Thanks to those who continue to support us through fundraisers (like our Pancake Breakfast several days ago) and donations,” the department stated.
