MOSINEE – The Tomahawk Middle School cross country teams took on their toughest test of the season by racing twice in one week, finishing with strong performances at the Great Northern Conference (GNC) Championships in Mosinee and the Three Lakes Invitational.
Both squads continued to show depth, pack strength and steady improvement across the entire roster.
The boys put together one of their most complete team efforts of the season at the GNC meet, finishing 4th overall, with all five scorers inside the top 36.
The girls matched that consistency, also finishing 4th, highlighted by another top‑10 finish from Jayda DeVillers and a tightly packed scoring group.

Milestones of the Meet
A total of 14 awesome athletes achieved their Milestones of the Meet this week.
This was a seriously tough week with two meets in three days. It's not something I would recommend from a coaching standpoint, but the kids enjoy the Three Lakes meet and also cheering on their high school counterparts, so we gotta show up!
So many positives came out of this week, beyond the blazing fast times and improvements. Teammates helping others was an ongoing theme, as well as overcoming some major nerves stemming from not feeling well or overcoming a hard fall the race before. We as a coaching staff are so very proud of the team these athletes are building, which is what is leading to taking the next step forward leaning more into what makes a team successful while still having fun.
GNC Mosinee: Finley Bubolz, Eli Ierulli, Allie Reiff, Kamden Hanse, Ahna Arndt, Emree Quesinberry and Quinn Cordova.
Three Lakes: Theo Heier, Max Micke, Finn Childers, Maci Bandura, Aydin Michael, Allie Maki and Jesse Wallschlaeger.
