TOMAHAWK – Last month, Tomahawk High School (THS), in conjunction with its 2026 Senior Awards and Scholarship Night, honored nine recent graduates who will continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level.
The student-athletes were joined at the athletic signing ceremony by their families, coaches and classmates.
School District of Tomahawk Activities Director Ryan Flynn congratulated the recent THS graduates.
“As they continue on, the strength and successes of the 2026 Class of Tomahawk High School provided many memorable accomplishments and has left a lasting impact on the school's athletic history,” Flynn said. “The Class of 2026 has broken school records individually; reached the pinnacle of high school sports with a state championship; multiple conference, regional and sectional championships throughout their careers; individual Conference Player of the Year honors; and above all else, provided positive leadership to those around them on how to be successful in their day-to-day lives.”
THS Class of 2026 graduates who will participate in athletics at the collegiate level are as follows: Freya Alberg, Grinnell College (Iowa), basketball; Siennah Calkins, Macalester College (Minn.), volleyball; Faith Derleth, St. Cloud State University (Minn.), track and field; Ethan Gibeault, UW-Stout, football; Walter Horabik, UW-Stout, football; Bruce Peetz, St. John's University (Minn.), swim and dive; Rex Reilly, UW-La Crosse, football; Lydia Shaney, Lawrence University, cross country, track and field; and Alicia Voermans, UW-Oshkosh, track and field.
