TOMAHAWK – Tomahawk Middle School (TMS) is now offering access to books through its new Little Free Library.
The School District of Tomahawk last week said that at the beginning of last year, the TMS Student Council began brainstorming ways to fund a Little Free Library that would benefit students on nights and weekends when the school doors aren’t open for book checkout.
The students launched a penny war to fund the project, and the council’s advisor, Mrs. Coleman, wrote a grant to help support the council’s efforts.
The library was ultimately completed earlier this month and is now stocked with brand new, recently published books.
“Come take a book and leave one in its place,” the district stated. “Happy reading!”
